I am originally from Chicago, Illinois where I taught in The Chicago Public School system for 17 years.

I’ve lived in Texas now for about 5 years and I really love it. I love being a part of “The Family” here at the Academy of Dallas Charter School where I discovered my second love, Math. I earned my degree in Elementary Education at the University of Illinois and I’m certified to teach EC-8.

 I’m excited about this time because it’s definitely opened up new and exciting changes in Education. I consider myself and those I teach as life-long learners. I love the children I teach because they bring their own uniqueness and passions to life and learning.

When I’m not teaching I’m reading, writing, singing, traveling or just enjoying the pure outdoors. I love my family and friends so I try when I can to spend as much time with them.
