Academy of Dallas (AOD) Public Charter School is a PreK3-8th school of entrepreneurship in Dallas, Texas. At AOD, we intentionally create an environment that encourages an entrepreneurial spirit. This power is driven by the desire to transform the world and expand the capacity to imagine how to do so. The Academy of Dallas' curriculum provides hands-on and engaging programs designed to bring leadership concepts into real-time for each scholar. We offer an instructional blended learning model of core curriculum with an emphasis on programs including, PRODIGY, and MATL Science Stem Institute, which foster a dynamic entrepreneurial mindset. Our mission is to provide an academic environment that prepares students to function as Entrepreneurs, Workers, and Citizens in a Globalized World.

MATLSCIENCE STEM INSTITUTE
Through a collaboration with MatlScience, The Academy of Dallas is equipped to make a greater impact on students' academic success and foster a deeper appreciation for Math and Science. Together with MatlScience, we take Chemistry education to the next level with exciting, hands-on experiments that bring textbook theories to life. Our students don lab coats and safety goggles as they delve into the fascinating world of chemical reactions. From titrations to chromatography, our immersive experiments not only reinforce classroom knowledge but also inspire a deep appreciation for the wonder of chemistry. Our students experience the thrill of discovery and satisfaction of understanding complex chemical principles with MatlScience - where learning is truly an experiment in fun and enlightenment.

Prodigy is an entrepreneurial educational program designed to develop young entrepreneurs. Prodigy is integrated within AOD's core curriculum and aims to cultivate a spirit of creativity, resilience, and problem-solving among students, preparing them to thrive in the ever-evolving world of business and innovation. . Students acquire the entrepreneurial mindset through innovation and self-reliance, equipping them to drive toward their best futures in the 21st Century.

Empowerment Initiative
The partnership between Buckner International and the Academy of Dallas is a collaborative effort aimed at enhancing students' social and emotional development, fostering resilience, and promoting a positive school environment. By joining forces to actionize the Why Try Empowerment Initiative, our district is able to implement a proven resilience education curriculum that equips students with essential life skills to overcome challenges and succeed in academics and beyond. Through this partnership, students have the opportunity to engage in meaningful lessons and activities that focus on goal setting, decision making, communication, and coping strategies. Teachers are supported with resources and training to effectively implement the program, creating a cohesive approach to supporting student well-being. The partnership also emphasizes building positive relationships, fostering a growth mindset, and creating a supportive community where all members - students, educators, and parents - are empowered to thrive. By combining the expertise of Why Try in social and emotional learning with the school's commitment to student success, the partnership is dedicated to making a lasting impact on the lives of the students and contributing to a culture of resilience and growth within our school community.
